To Cindy, Carl, Kim & the rest of the family. I just wanted to send a quick note to apologize for not being able to make it to the service's this morning. I had wanted to go but, unfortunately, work calls ... so, I have to go. But, as I said in my previous post. Know, our thoughts are with you all. And, Cindy, in case you didn't get it. My e-mail is SkynrdPikr@yahoo.com. (Don't worry Mr. Web Master, my e-mail is a public one. I don't mind it being posted. In fact I would appreciate you leaving it here as so old friends can say hello if they feel like it) ... So, when you can, send my a note & let me know about the "reunion" you were talking about.

Dear Kenny & family,
That Smile... that beautiful smile of yours will stay in our hearts forever.
We've known each other for a lifetime, one I didn't think was going to be over so every soon--some how it still doesn't seem real!!
I just saw you Friday night. You left such a great impression on my oldest son-Dylan. I just knew I took him to the right person. He needed advice about quads & trading up on his- Your advice was good & truthful, Even when you told me to "bud out & let the man (Dylan) make his own decisions--he's got a good head on his shoulders--leave him be MoM--it's time to step a side!! Then you finished with a beautiful compliment about what a fine job I'd done as a parent. I couldn't have been prouder at that moment--You had a way of telling it like it is--and leaving a person feeling good about themselves.
Kenny you are a great spirited man, one who will be surely missed, your legend lives on in so many hearts.
To the Family: hold on tight to your warm & fuzzy thoughts, they'll get you through the tough times. Know that he's with you & watching over you all.
XXXOOO With Love & All Our Hearts & Prayers,
Annie & the Hoffman Boys

OH Kenny, Whad ya do man? A lot of people are missin ya brother!
Myself included. Haven't seen ya in a while but, we had some great times over the years didn't we? Fishin & Partying down at Egberts back in the old days. Shootin Pool at the Cabbage house every day. "Parachuting" off the top of that 30 foot high tree house of mine with you & your brother Eric. (To those who don't know what "parachuting" is ... Us crazy kids used to dive off the roof of a Tree House we built down in the woods & grab the thin tops of the smaller trees ... they would bend over to a point where it was low enough to just jump to the ground. Don't try this at home folks!) ... Its amazing we didn't all end up with broken necks & wearing Halo's around our heads the way you had to when you had that Bike accident back in the 80's! Great times though. Or how about the Old 64 Impala & trying to make it from Rt 23 to Rt 80 in under 9 minutes? Hitting that Ol Hump Back Bridge that used to be by Egberts at 70-80 MPH & getting totally air-born in the process! Yeh, you were a dare-devil! And a dam talented one at that ... But, that's part of what made it so much fun to be around you. You pushed us all to one up each other. And we took it to the limit on most everything. And in the process it all made for some incredibly great memories. Thank-you my friend ... its been a long time but, thank-you. You & Eric, & Johnny Grear are together again & I am sure are turning heaven upside down about now! (Be careful guys ... The good lord is forgiving but, if ya tick him off too much he might send ya's all the other way!) I'll never forget you & Eric & a few other guys showing up at my door at 6 am after I had just gotten home from an all night bender 15 minutes before, to drag me out deep sea fishing. I got to say ... As hung over as I was ... That day was one of the most memorable days of my life. God, we had such a good time! I wish I had a camera though ... I also remember all you guys lined up with your heads hangin over the side "chuming" because the sea was so rough. Where is a camera when ya need one?(I guess being drunk before I got on the boat must of helped!) Forever fun ... & forever smiling that big ass grin, & always a sincere friend to those close enough to had known you. To Cindy, Carl, his fiance Kim, & the kids & the rest of the family ... Our hearts go out to you. You all have had it rough the last several years. But, hang in there. Kenny & your mom & dad & Eric, I am sure would want you all to smile & focus on the good times you all have had. You all will be together again some day. We all will. But for now lets all just be thankful for the love, friendship, & great memories we all who knew this man were lucky enough to have had. May peace & tranquility & fond moments of happy memories find you all. Kenny ... Love ya Brudda! we will see you on that big pond in the sky! With Love to one & all, Stu & Belle Hannah
PS - To the webmaster. I lit a candle & said some words the other day but ... they disappeared. You may want to check into that.

I haven’t seen Kenny in several years but I was just thinking of him on Sunday, before I learned of his passing. It was a vivid memory of when he was very badly injured by a fool on a rice cycle back in 1980 something. After the accident I couldn’t bring myself to go see him in the hospital. I kept meaning to but I guess fear of seeing him that way or fear of my own mortality staring back at me kept me from showing up. I don’t know what it was but I was very ashamed.
Weeks went by then one day, while I was pumping gas into my bike at the Exxon on Green Pond Rd., I was punched very very hard in the arm by a tall thin man with a big round ring screwed right into his head like a cruel silver halo. The ring was attached with adjustable rods to what looked like plastic football shoulder pads. Beaming out at me through this odd cage of stainless steel was the unmistakable face of Kenny Johansson, his arms held out wide in an apparent open question. I was still a bit stunned by the hard strike and he shouted at me “see, I’m not made of glass”.
There he was, actually giving me a pass, forgiving me (with a minor toll paid to my upper arm) of my sins. He gave me a big hug and admonished me a bit more with a few light but firm jabs to my ribs but all in fun. We talked for a little while and then shook hands and made plans to not be strangers. I think we shared a few cold ones and some war stories since, though to be true, I really can’t recall. Our lives soon went in different directions, wives, kids, jobs, mortgages, etc. and I never quite got back on the track that we had been on.
I will never forget him for the many times he was a good and generous friend and for the day he taught me that 90% of life is just showing up. Kenny, you are missed.
My most sincere condolences to the Johansson family

Ya' know, Kenny gave me a job when I didn't have a clue what I was doing. Picked me up and drove me home cause I couldn't drive. Walked into the woods to knock on my tent and wake me up for work because I was passed out drunk from the night before. Probably every time we ever talked over the years, Kenny tried to teach me something...and he definitely let me know his thoughts on any topic of conversation.
I'm lucky to have had Kenny as a friend...and I'm grateful that every single hello and every single goodbye was as if it could be our last. Ken, I'll never forget the last time we talked and how it felt. I hope you're watching, cause I'm gonna keep trying to make you proud...
You left a mark on my mind and my heart that will never fade.
Love ya' bro,
Brian
