The smells and sounds of grandma and grapa's house in new jearsey will always stay with me as a strong childhood memory, so different from Ireland, eating lunch with them out in the conservatory, grandma was always so much fun, I felt right at home with her. Sorry I can't be there Marilyn, Laurie and Donna. Love to all

Dear Mommy, Donna, Laurie and Marilyn. I wish we could all be together right now. I am thinking of you all this week and of both Grandma and Grandpa. My thoughts have been flowing back and forth between their visits to Ireland over the years and the times we visited New Jersey. So many wonderful childhood memories; Brisk walks with Grandma down Moraine Road, summer hay days at home eating outside, always trying on Grandma’s makeup in front of the magnified mirror, visiting her at work thinking how cool it was to be a travel agent, Christmas morning on the green shaggy carpet ….Precious memories. Love Aisling

(To the family of) Mrs. Laansma: It's been many years since I met you knowing your daughter, Marilyn, who became more than you can ask for in a friend. I've shared you through her eyes over the years. My condolences to Eileen, Donna, Laurie, and all of their families, as well as to Marilyn, Glenn and their family, including my Godson, Kyle. May you find peace in Heaven with your husband, Donald.

It was the highlight of the summer when Aunt Eleanor, Uncle Don and the girls came to visit the family in Michigan. And one special summer when our big family visited them in New Jersey! What fun times we had. My heart goes out to all the girls for the loss of their mother. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love, Jo

Marilyn, Laurie, Donna. Though I am far away in Ireland and cannot be with you at this time, the memories I most treasure are of the times Mom and Dad visited us here in Tipperary, Dad driving the tractor, helping Patrick make hay and Mom sitting under the shade of the apple tree reading. She was never a country girl but she loved her Historical Novels and she did enjoy sitting in my garden. So how very apt that I can conjure up that image. All here thinking of all there. Your Sister, Eileen
