Father, Grandfather, and Brother
John J. "Jack" Geiger passed into his eternal rest with the Lord on March 20, 2009 at St. Clare's Hospital in Dover, NJ.
He was 76 years old.
Born in Orange, he had lived in West Orange for 30 years before moving to the Lake Shawnee section of Wharton, NJ 16 years ago.
Jack served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He then worked as a Sr. Systems Analyst at Prudential in Newark, NJ for 40 years before retiring in 1992.
Jack was an avid reader and fisherman whose sense of humor brought a smile to all around him.
He is survived by his beloved children Maureen Lyn Geiger of Aberdeen, NJ and Michael J. and his wife Kristen Geiger of Germantown, TN. He is also survived by his adoring Grandsons Devin, Alexander, and Brennen, and his loving sisters Betty Schimph of Whippany, and Patricia Drylie of Denville, NJ and his cherished Dalmatian Raisin.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial Mass will be held on Monday March 23, at 10AM at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church in Lake Hopatcong, NJ. Friends may visit on Sunday from 2-5PM at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ. Please light a candle in his memory at: www.normandean.com.
