George Thomas “Poppy” Schoettlin passed away at St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville on June 4, 2013 at the age of 72.
Living his whole life in New Jersey, he spent most of his time in Caldwell before moving to Rockaway 15 years ago.
George worked in quality assurance at 901D in Tallman, NY for many years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Rose Schoettlin of Rockaway, NJ. He is also survived by his daughter Wendy Schoettlin and her husband Andy Kamenitzer of Stanhope, NJ, his son Troy Schoettlin of York, PA, his step daughter Tracy Ciavarro of Netcong, NJ, and his grandsons Caleb Schoettlin and Nick Ciavarro.
Visitation will be held at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ 07834 on Friday June 7, 2013, from 5-9PM. Services will begin at 10AM on Saturday June 8, at the funeral home followed by graveside services at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
