Lou and I were shipmates back in 1944-45 during my time in the Navy. Though our time was not that long, we became good friends. He was one of the best of all the guys I knew from the service. We played many hours of double deck Pinochle abourd ship, always as partners and he was a great card player. We did get together in 1945 in Baltimore with a couple other shipmates, It was great to see Lou after all those years. So, Lou, rest easy my friend, I will miss you.
