We worked with Jack at the AT&T National Special Needs Center as we affectionately called him "Jack the Whack" because of his quick wit and sense of humor. We were friends outside of work. He was a great guy to be around and was always willing to help you out. He enjoyed is Porsche and the Club, that was his passion. I remember when he bought his first one imported from Germany, that was his baby! Jack enjoyed his friends and we had some great times watching The Nerds at Betty's Fireside in Denville and the Spring Break trips to Florida.
May God bless his family in this difficult time. Our prayers and thoughts go out to you. And may he rest in peace. I'm sure he'll keep things lively up in heaven. Jack will be missed but not forgotten.

Jack was a kind-hearted soul. I graduated with him from Morris Knolls in 1976. He was always friendly. He used to call me a 'dumb Irishman"; I think it had something to do with the fact that we're both Irish :) He liked to joke around. Later on in years, we met again at AT&T in Parsippany NJ where we both worked. He retained the same sense of humor and I think I'll always remember him for that.
God Bless you Jack.

I am truly saddened to hear of the loss of Jack. Though I have not seen him (to my recollection) since high school graduation, I have thought of him many times over the years. My most vivid memory is of him standing in the band room, smack dab in the center of the instrument shelves and leaning against them, joking about whatever was appropriate to joke about that day...and, then suddenly, Mr. Lindemann yelling out “Pay-zell, practice! McCarthy, practice! DeHaan, practice!” and we’d all scatter to get out our instruments and find a practice room… Jack also introduced me to Maynard Ferguson’s music and I still have interest in Maynard to this day. They are together now and I hope Maynard shows him how to hit that double high C. From what I can remember of Jack and have read about him lately, seems he already knew. Jack was a fun guy and I am glad I knew him. My condolences to his family and friends.

Despite of the passage of so much time, my memories of Jack remain so strong. A testament to his energy and generosity of spirit no doubt. I guess that Jack loved to shake us up - or perhaps wake us up.. He was the relentlessly polite guy with the mildly outrageous wrapper. The solid and reliable friend who projected the aura of an irreverent free spirit. The quick-to-forgive guy who feigned dramatic outrage in the face of injustice. The thoughtful musical and engineering craftsman who pretended to be disinterested in rigor. I will think back with great and lasting fondness on his boundless energy, humor, talents, mischief, generosity, irreverence, skepticism, honor, outrageousness, honesty, and (of course) pearls of wisdom. Perhaps these is some comfort in knowing that Jack lived his unfairly-short life to the absolute fullest - and he gifted a bit of his love of life to those around him.

I have always thought of my cousin Jack as the consummate free spirit. Memories of Jack from my childhood and young adulthood always included just a little bit of mischief mixed in with a lot of laughs and good spirits. He was never one to hold back with what he thought or wanted to do. Even though I did not see much of him in recent years, he will be deeply missed.
