Memories to fill a heart, love for you giving us a wonderful son-in-law. We will protect our grandchildren until our day comes to join you in Heaven. Sharing these past months occasions with you is a gift from God that we will hold onto forever. Thank you for making them so memorable and for caring so well for our grandchildren and daughter. You were a wonderful father-in-law. Go with God and rest in his Glory. You deserve it, dear one. May every day be a 'hole in one' in Heaven.
Love, Barbara and Ray

He and Joan were our first neighbors in Mt Lakes as newly weds. Always there for a weekend gathering or some friendly neighborly advise, Herb and Joan became fast friends. They were both such loving people and we love them deeply. Our prayers go to the family knowing that your parents are finally reunited.

We may not have had the same vision, may not have viewed life or the world the same way.we may have had definitions of happiness that differed. But by all means know I love my father. I tried to make things right, several times, but understood the rejection. I'm sorry I hurt you, but I do love you, I hope now you see I've led a good life and raised good children. I hope now I you can be proud of the child you raised. I'll admit there were mistakes, on both our parts, but i pray now that you see I'm not such an utter and complete disappointment, I am a great mom, I am successful in my career. I may not be all that you hoped I would be, but I am happy, isn't that all a parent should want for their child? i did and do love you, I love all of you. I miss you too. I've missed you for too long, I know it is not good bye, for to this very day I feel mom with me and talk with her often. Please feel free to join the conversation the next time mom blesses me with her presence. Until we meet again I will carry you with me everywhere I go! I love you and miss you beyond words... Shannon

I just want to extend my heartfelt condolences to Herb Kirby's large and loving family. He and Joan were good friends of ours when my husband was vicar of St. Peter's in Mtn Lks--they couldn't have been kinder or more generous to us. I will miss Herb, as I do Joan, and as I know my late husband would have. Herb was a lovely person, a true gentleman. We corresponded on occasion, and I was so sad to hear this news.
