Donald Allan Hamill Sr. “Don”, 69 passed away on Monday February 2, 2009 at Saint Clare’s Hospital in Denville, NJ
Don was born in Newark, was a resident in Irvington and summered in Sparta and the last 30 years in Lake Hopatcong. He was a supervisor for delivery of the New Jersey Herald newspaper for many years. After his retirement Don was a delivery man for several florists in the Morris county area. He was a Boy Scout leader for Troop 150 & Explorer group 82 of Sparta, he was an avid golfer and enjoyed video games.
Don is survived by his Wife Brenda J. (Conklin) Hamill, his son Donald Allan Hamill Jr., and his step-children, Brenda Hensz, Nancy Ritzer, John Dougherty, and six grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday February 7th at 11:00AM at the St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 85 Conestoga Trail, Sparta, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations to the The Fresh Air Fund 633 Third Avenue, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10017 or the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 28 Kennedy Blvd., Suite 180, East Brunswick, NJ 08816.
