We will fondly remember all the great lessons and stories Grampy shared with us. Some favorites include him helping us to move into our new house, teaching Shannon how to cook her prize winning Fluke during the company fishing trip, searching for Dan's lemmon birthday cake and best of all, meeting Braydan on Skype.
We will always remember and miss you.
Love,
Dan, Shannon, and Braydan

First I want to give my condolences to my Aunt Doris and my cousins. My Uncle Ralph was my father Vinnie and Uncle Terry's older brother and the pillar of the Lombreglia Family. He was a man that had the best qualities I've ever found in any man. I remember so many things growing up with him as my Uncle, but what sticks in my mind the most is working with him and my cousin Larry at Special Additions. My Uncle Ralph would be on the phone with business associates and I would hear him say "You have my word on this", I've heard him say that quite often and I knew he had meant it from the heart. He was a man that had integrety, if Ralph said you have his word, you had his word period. Other words of advise were "Dino, just jump in there and grab the bull by the horns. That was Uncle Ralph and he lived by that.
The Lombreglia Family has lost a great and kind man. Now if there is a heaven, which I know there is, my Uncle Ralph is there grabbing the bull by the horns and you have my word on it.

I'll miss Uncle Ralph deeply. I have such fond memories of him from when I was a little girl in NJ. He always said "gimme some sugar" before I left and I would give him a big kiss on the cheek.
I'll miss you Uncle Ralph. My sympathies to all of the Lombreglias.

What a deep loss this is for our family. As the patriarch of our family, he was untiring, generous to a fault, and a brilliant mentor, yet always humble. There are hundreds of wonderful stories about him that come with thousands of thanks. My favorite has always been how my Dad came to own the Red Shingle. One day Uncle Ralph was in "The Shingle" and the original owner said he was sick and tired of the business and was ready to throw in the towel. Uncle Ralph, always the businessman, pulled a napkin out of the dispenser and wrote up an offer right then and there. The owner accepted! Uncle Ralph then went to my Dad and said, "I bought a restaurant today and you've got to take this deal". I understand that my father balked at first saying he didn't know anything about the restaurant business, but Uncle Ralph told him he could do it because my Dad "used to start the dinner when Mama worked". The rest is history and the restaurant became very successful. Since the day that I heard that story, even as a little girl, I was in awe of him and I knew that Uncle Ralph was a true hero. He will be missed forever and never forgotten.

My sincere condolences to Ralph's family. I first met Ralp and Terry too at Vinnie's "Red Shingle' in Union Hill in the 1950's. I was only a teenager but all three of the brothers treated me and my family as 'family.' When I came to Byram Twp. as chief of police in the 1970's, I found that Byram lacked an adequate number of banks so I reached out to Ralph to see if People's would be interested in siting a bank in Byram. Ralph came to Byram and drove around town with me for a couple of hours. He was impressed with the potential of Byram and a People's branch was opened after a former 'Phillips 76' gas station was partially demolished and renovated. I will make note of this story at a future Byram Twp. Council meeting.
Again, my sincere condolences. Eskil S. "Skip" Danielson, Mayor, Byram Twp.

My sincere sympathies to Ralphs family. Your Dad and Husband was a very caring person. I met your Dad as a very young and new police officer in Rockaway. Having just bought a home and having very little money your Dad helped me out during my very needed renovation of my kitchen. He treated me like family and I never forgot his kindness. Again, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this very sorrowful time.

I remember Ralph in a very positive way. Ralph was always working for Denville. I had many conversations with Ralph about the future of Denville. The Price family was one of the first to develope the Cedar Lake area and was instrumental in building Van Drive way back when. Our Prayers are with Ralphs' Family

I can't tell you how intimidated I was by Uncle Ralph when he would come into my store He was a giant of a man with a deep echoing voice that sent waves of fear through me. I soon learned the only thing bigger than Ralph was his heart, Thank you Ralph for all you did for me and my business. God bless you Doris and your family and help you through this difficult time.
