Obituary of Daniel Carl Urwin

Daniel C. Urwin: Age 61, Rockaway NJ beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Daniel died peacefully on Friday January 2, 2009 after fighting a long illness. Daniel was self employed for more than 30 years as a contractor. He was born in Montclair, New Jersey and grew up in Rockaway Boro. He resided in North Carolina where he spent many years enjoying his passions of hunting and fishing. Daniel returned home to his family in New Jersey to spend his last years. In his last years he was devotedly cared for by his daughters, his niece, and his sister. In his final days he was surrounded by his daughters and grandchildren along with many friends that enriched his life with laughter, love and joy. There was no greater pleasure for him then his family together. He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Robert Urwin of Florida, Susan E. Seaborne of Rockaway, and his loving brother Robert John Urwin of Iowa. He is survived by his daughters, Chrisanne Young and husband Alfred of Denville, Gwen Urwin-Novack of Rockaway, and Melissa Urwin of New York. Also survived by his six grandchildren Amanda, Dylan, Michael, Carly, Lucas, and MacKenzie and great-grandchild Kendyl Elizabeth. As well as his sister Susan Sherrer of Wharton. Funeral services will be held at Norman Dean Funeral Home on Monday January 5, 2009 from 2-4PM and 7-8PM with a service being held at 8PM.
