Obituary of Edith E. Ellis

Edith Ellis passed away on December 16th, at the age of 87.
Born in Stirling, PA, Edith was a long time Rockaway resident. She was employed by American National Bank for many years and retired as Branch Manager of the New Vernon, NJ office.
During the Christmas holidays, Edith had her electric organ transported to the bank branches where she would play holiday music for customers and co-workers.
Edith was a Den Mother for Cub Scout Pack #122 in Rockaway. One of her favorite projects was helping to organize the Cub Scout Variety Shows at the Rockaway Presbyterian Church.
On Friday nights in the late seventies and early eighties, Edith enjoyed visiting Giovanni's Restaurant, in Dover, with her family and friends to listen and dance to music by "Mario".
She moved to Lancaster, PA in 1989 and returned to Rockaway in 1999.
Edith was predeceased by her husband William Sr. in 1986. Survivors include her daughter Patricia, son William Jr., Sister Jeanne, Brother Arthur, four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were private and under the direction of the Norman Dean Home for Services.
