PaPa Who
Papa who is as sturdy as a tree
But as soft as a pillow
Who smiles like the sun
Who soaks up every second
Who was silent when he yelled
But loud when he was talking
Who made sure to make his stamp on everyone
Has to go to get a simple surgery tomorrow
Will be there one more day then come right back
But now its Christmas day
And still your health is far away
We hoped that you'd stop, and turn the other way
Through all this you never wanted us to fuss
So then why did you pass away from us
We will try to be strong and carry on
Because we know that all your pain is gone
The funeral was hard to take
I kept hoping that you would just wake
His memory will never fade
Through all the love that he has made

I was shocked and saddened at the news of Al's passing.
Al was a very positive influence on me when I first started teaching at Kawameeh.
He very soon became a good friend. In my later years as a teacher at the High School, I saw Al only a couple of times a year. Moving out of state upon my retirement I lost contact with Al and Nancy.
I will never forget Al, and the good times we and our families had together.

Dear Papa, You knew the little things I liked and you made sure they were there, just for me(like always having bread for me when we came to visit...and letting me sneak away with two or three pieces for the ride back!) My happiness was important to you and now I want to say you are important to me. You were excited when I was excited, and you celebrated my victories as well as my losses. Papa, I will always miss and love you. Love, Monica

Dear Al:
Where do I begin, dear brother--there are so many memories of good times and laughs with you, Nancy, and the kids...down the shore, holidays (I could never figure out how you decorated that gigantic Christmas tree in Edison!), our trips to Las Vegas and A/C. And, of course, commiserating with you over Yankee losses and cheering their wins (let's not discuss A-Rod!!). I will miss you beyond words, but you'll be forever in my heart.
Love you.
Love, Gay

My Dear Brother Al:
I'll always remember all our trips and cruises, too many to mention, but what comes to mind is the Las Vegas trip and our ride in the prop plane over the Grand Canyon, the look on Nancy's face and the laughs. You will always be missed and loved.

Uncle Al,
We will all miss you.
I wish we had been able to visit more than we have. Time seems to pass so fast. Before we realize it years have gone by. Although it has been some time I still have fond memories of visiting and sleeping over and having fun with you and my cousins when I was younger.

My memories of Uncle Al are all good ones from my childhood.
He was always giving and caring, smiling, quiet, tall and handsome.I remember opening up his house to me for my engagement party, taking me to the movies,to the World's Fair.
All the times I stayed over night in the summer, and the times I babysat so he and Aunt Nancy could go out for the evening.
I will keep these memories forever in my heart.
May God Bless You Uncle Al and Keep you close.
Love Lori
