Rocco (Rock) Leone, 86, passed away on November 29th at his home in Denville.
He was a devoted husband and father who is survived by his wife, Irma, of 50 years, sisters; Letitia Oliva and Filomena Chapman, sons; Michael, Mark and his wife, Victoria, grandchildren; Sam, Adam, Maxim and Annabelle.
Rock was born in New York City and served in the Navy during WWII as an aviation electronics technician. He worked for Butler Aviation in NY until 1957 when he moved to NJ to work for Air Craft Radio Corp. in Boonton as an Electronics Engineer. In 1981 he left ARC for CTI in Whippany where he retired in 1986.
Rock had a life-long interest in aviation and was an avid RC model aircraft enthusiast. He was an honorary member of the Top of New Jersey RC Club and was very active in repairing and selling RC equipment.
