Obituary of John F. MacDonald

John F. "Jack" MacDonald passed away at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover, NJ on November 24, 2008.
He was 81 years old.
Born in Passaic, NJ, he has lived in Denville, NJ for over 50 years.
He served in the US Army during peacetime between WWII & Korea, and was a graduate of Rutgers University.
Jack worked for his family business J.H. McDonald & Sons for 30 years, and then for U.A. Pipe fitters Local #274 in Ridgefield Park, NJ.
He was a proud Grandfather, an avid fisherman and golfer, a member of Peace pipe Country Club, and a former coach for the Denville Blue angels football team for 16 years.
Jack is predeceased by his brother Bob MacDonald several years ago.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Anne M. (Toresco) MacDonald of Denville, NJ.
His children Jim of Mendham, Joan Krall of Rockaway Twp, NJ, Anne of Salisbury CT, John of Lower Nazareth, PA, and Tom MacDonald of Wharton, NJ also survive him. His Grandchildren Stephanie, Meredith, Michael, Duggan, Stephen, Colleen, Matthew, Michelle, Daniel and Ryan, as well as his brother Joe MacDonald, and sister Mary Ford, both of Denville, NJ.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Mary's Church in Denville on Saturday November 29, at 10AM. Friends may visit at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Friday from 4-7PM.
