Obituary of Gussie V. LePage

Gussie V. LePage, 97, of Rotonda West, FL, and previously of Lake Hopatcong, NJ, passed into the presence of her loving Heavenly Father on November 13, 2008. She was born April 14, 1911 in Ashburn, GA to Rev. Benjamin Lawson and Anna Tabitha (nee Pate) Lawson. Gussie married James Bradley Ham in 1929 and together raised three daughters. She was a devoted wife and homemaker. She and Bradley were both members of the North Caldwell (NJ) Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. Gussie moved to Lake Hopatcong, NJ after Bradley's death, where she became a charter member of the Christ Community Church in Newton, NJ. She is survived by her daughters, Sarah LaVonne (Joseph) Gabriele with whom she lived in Rotonda West; and Flora Ann Stamets of Crestview, FL. Stepsons, Robert (Elayne) LePage and Roger (Arlene) LePage. Grandchilren; Daniel (Sharon) Myer, Linda (Jim) Hodges, Cynthia (Peter) Cosentino, Timothy Myer, Lisa Myer, Kathleen Gabriele, Donald (Mary Ann) Lucas, Cheryl (Lance) Koeritz, Virginia (Frank) Dennison, Jay Stamets; 19 great-grandchildren and 9 Great-great grandchildren; and sisters; Alene Askew of Portsmouth, VA and Claudia Parker of Columbus, GA. Gussie was preceded in death by her parents; husband James Bradley Ham and Louis LePage and daughter, Betty Jean Ansley. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 19th at 11:00AM at the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ 07834. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18th from 6-8PM and Wednesday, November 19th from 10-11AM at the Norman Dean Home for Services. Interment will follow the service on Wednesday at Restland Memorial Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.
