Dorothy Pora, 81, died on Friday July 14, 2006 at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Clares Hospital in Dover, following a brief illness.
She was born in Kearny, and had lived in Harrison for over forty-five years moving to Denville two years ago.
Dorothy graduated from Kearny High School class of 1943.
She was a hairdresser and had owned Hair Port in Harrison for over thirty years retiring in 1990.
She has been a member of St. Marys RC Church in Denville, and the Denville Senior Citizens Club.
Her husband of fifty-five years Stanley died in July 2005.
She is survived by her daughter and son in-law Lori and Richard Storey of Denville, and her two grandsons Michael and Jeffrey Hornecker. She is also survived by her sister Florence Pecararo of Howell, NJ, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave. Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Tuesday July 18, 2006 at 9:00 AM for a 10:00 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial Service at St. Marys R. C. Church in Denville. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
