Obituary of Jane Bodenweiser

JANE D. BODENWEISER On Wednesday July 12, 2006 at the Franciscan Oaks Health Center in Denville. She was 92.
Jane was the loving wife of the late Walter A. Bodenweiser D.D.S, and loving mother to Ann Blakley of Olympia WA and Jane Varley of Stillwater NJ. Jane is also survived by grandsons David W. Varley of Las Vegas NV, and Daniel W. Varley of Stillwater NJ.
Born in Pittsburgh PA in 1914 the family moved to Caldwell when Jane was an infant, Jane was formerly from Caldwell and Essex Fells until moving to Denville twelve years ago. She was the daughter of Mayor Joseph Dosch and Frances Esslinger.
Jane graduated from College High School in Montclair in 1932 and from Skidmore College in 1936.
During WWII she was a Red Cross volunteer in the ambulance corps. Married to Walter A. Bodenweiser D.D.S. in 1946 the couple volunteered there service to the Rosebud Sioux Indians in South Dakota also assisted her husband in volunteer work in Zimbabwe Africa.
She was a long time member of the Caldwell United Methodist Church.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday August 18, 2006 at 10:30 a.m.at the Prospect Hill Cemetery in Caldwell.
