Rina E. Valente, 98, died at the Care One at Morris in Parsippany, NJ on Monday May 15, 2006.
Mrs. Valente was born in Chile and came to the United States in 1917. She was a resident of Union City and Rockaway before moving to Denville three years ago. Mrs. Valente was a Sales Manager at the Goldsmiths Brothers Stationery Store in New York City for 20 years and retired in 1975.
Her husband Luigi Valente in 1966 and her brother Larry Soracco and her sister Mary Frueholz predeceased Mrs. Valente. She is survived by her son Emil Valente and his wife Maureen of Denville, her three grandchildren, Marc Valente and his wife Tina of Potomac Falls, VA, Laura Valente and Dina Valente both of Morristown, NJ, Two Great Granddaughters Mia and Ella, and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Valentes funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue, Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Thursday May 18th at 9:00a.m. For a 10:00a.m. Liturgy of Christian Burial service at St. Marys Church Denville, NJ. Interment Madonna Cemetery, Ft. Lee, NJ. Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday May 17th from 2-4 & 7-9p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to Alzheimers Association Greater New Jersey Chapter, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834.
