Obituary of Theodore E. “Ted” Davis

Theodore E. Ted Davis Sr. died on Thursday at his home in Denville, NJ. He was born in Lawrence, Mass. And had lived in Washington Twp., Bergen County NJ before moving to Denville in 1984. He was a Navy Veteran during WWII serving on the Destroyer USS Braine for three years engaged in many battles in the Pacific Theatre. After the service Ted graduated from Boston College in 1953 with a Bachelors of Law degree. He work for many years as a Lawyer for the U. S. Internal Revenue Service as Regional Counsel for the North Atlantic Region, retiring in the 1980s. He had been a member of the New York State and Massachusetts Barr Association. He son Theodore E. Jr. died in 1973. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Rosaline M. nee Chaisson. He is also survived by his daughter Ginny Coppola of Denville and a son Mark and his wife Elisa of Succasunna, and his five grandchildren Michelle Coppola, Jennifer and her husband Matthew Briggs, Brandon Davis, Devon Davis, and Justin Teats. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Donations are being accepted to the family for the benefit of Mark Davis.
