Obituary of Martin Brian Furstenau

Martin Brian Furstenau, 63, died on Wednesday Jan.11, 2006 at Community Medical Center in Scranton, Pa. Martin was born in Lyndhurst, NJ and grew up in Rockaway, later moving to Lackawaxen, PA. Six years ago. He graduated from Morris Hills High School class of 1961 and went on to attend the University of Ole-Miss in Mississippi. He served in the N. J. National Guard during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated Martin Carpet Business in the Morris County Are for many years retiring in 1996. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying Hunting and Fishing. He was also active in the Lackawaxen Vol. Fire Dept. in Lackawaxen, PA. His father Martin Furst died in 1992. He is survived by his three children and their spouses Lisa and Bob Hamill, Tina and Scott Hart all of Rockaway, and Brian and Lissette Furstenau of East Stroudsburg, Pa. and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother Evelyn Olsen Furst and his sister and brother in-law Dorothy and Joe Bahnatka all of Rhinebeck, NY. Funeral services will be held on Monday January 16, 2006 at 10:00 AM at the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave. Denville, NJ www.normandean.com.
