Dr. Donald L. Davidson, 76, died on Friday December 16, 2005 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover, NJ. He was born in Queens, New York and moved to the Lake Arrowhead section of Denville in 1974. Don was in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War and the War in Viet Nam, retiring in 1989 as First Sergeant. He had been a Forensic Pathologist for the New York City Medical Examiners Office in New York City retiring in 1987. His Daughter Jill Anne Davidson died on July 7, 1990, and his Granddaughter Callyn Elisabeth Trisler died February 18, 1990. He is survived by his wife Maureen M. (Growcott) whom he married on December 18, 1976. He is also survived by his children Mark Davidson of Villas, NJ, Carole and her husband William Cook, of Westfield, NJ and Steve and his wife Lorry Booth of Montville, NJ. He is also survived by his grandchildren Robin Streuning, Davidson Trisler, Dylan Booth, Samantha Booth, William Cook, and Stefanie Cook, and his Brother Herbert Davidson of Rockaway Beech, N.Y. Funeral Services will be held on Monday December 19, 2005 at 10:00 AM conducted by Rabbi Robin Nafshi at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ www.normandean.com. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday Afternoon from 2-4 PM.
