Frederick L. Yater 69, died at his residence in Ledgewood, NJ on Wednesday July 27, 2005.
Mr. Yater was born Oct. 15, 1935 in Staten Island, NY. He was a resident of the West Brighton section of Staten Island, a graduate of Staten Island Academy in 1954 and was a graduate of Nicholas College in Dudley Mass. Mr. Yater lived in the Allwood section of Clifton for over 38 years, before moving to Ledgewood, NJ in the fall of 2000.
Mr. Yater worked for over 35 years in the Office Supply Industry for L. Pulbermacher Bros. in Carlstadt, NJ. After the company closed I 1993 Mr. Yater was employed at Emco Sales and Services in North Bergen. He retired in 2000 due to his illness. One of his favorite part time jobs was at Christmas for 23 years he was the Santa Claus in the JJ Newberry store in Verona, NJ.
Mr. Yater is survived by his wife of 45 years, Arlene Yater. His sister in law Emily Yater of Pompton Plains, NJ survive him. He was the uncle of one niece and five nephews, great uncle of seven great nieces and three great nephews. His twin brother William predeceased him in 2001 and his sister Leona Weinberg in 2004.
Funeral service at the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Saturday July 30th, at 10:00a.m. Relatives and friends will be received on Friday July 29th from 7-9p.m.In lieu of flowers donations to the Visiting Nurse of Northern New Jersey, 38 Elm Street, Morristown, NJ 07960 would be appreciated.
