Ann:
I want you to know that I will always love you. I am happy my Dad found such a love and has been so happy for the 11 wonderful years you were together. We all miss you and being in this house without you just isn't the same. It has been great getting to know you and it was so great to see so many lives you have touched in so many ways- as a wife, a mother, a stpemother, daughter, sister, grandmother, teacher, and so many friends and extended family members. Your love has been so apparent over the years. We will watch over our Dad for you and know that you will always be close to his heart. The cats miss you and are following Dad around the house and looking out for him as well. It's not fair you had to leave us at such a young age, but, I hope you are no longer in pain and that you will always be looking down on us. You were right about Nick. We already love him so much and consider him a part of the family as we know you did. He is such a great guy and I am comforted to know that Toni will always be so well loved. She will always be my little sister and I hold dear all the memories we have all made as a family together. No words can express how we all truly felt. You have always been special to us and will always be remembered. I know you will always be looking over us as the many more weddings and births carry on. We will think of you often and smile because you have touched our lives. I just wish you could have been here with us a while longer to see Elias' wedding, Toni's wedding, my wedding and that you could have been a part of all the grandchildren yet to be thought of or born. Keep smiling and thank you for making my Dad who he is today so happy and conifdent. Thank you for giving me Toni, Annie, and Elias. I will always think of them as my sisters and brothers. Also, thank you for giving my Dad a brother in Tom and a soulmate to last him a lifetime. You were truly special. With love,

Dear Ann-
Words can't express the love and gratitude I have for you and will always have for making my father the man he is today. He has become a wonderful, more sensitive, caring and considerate father since he has met you and lived in your wonderful presence. You have touched so many lives in such different ways. You have made me realize that I can do anything I put my mind to, as you did and I am so thankful for you and the time we spent together. Madison will always know the story of her Nana and our baby-to -be will also know what a special person you are and how much you will be missed in the years to come. I promise you that I will watch over Dad and make sure he is managing without his soulmate. Thank you for not only making my Dad and I better people but for giving me my two sisters, Annie and Toni and brother Elias. They will always be my family because of you. I love you and miss you already.

I'm a friend of Salimeh Calvert's who happened to hear the news of her aunt's passing. I feel a deep sympathy for those who knew her closely but at the same time feel happy that someone who passed so suddenly and early on in life's journey had so many loved ones surrounding her life. It reflects the good nature Mrs. Lees had. Once again, my heart goes out to the family and close friends of Mrs. Anna Lees and hope that in time knowing that she is surely heaven-bound will ease the pain of her loss.

Aunt Ann was very special to me. My husband (her nephew) and I stayed with Aunt Ann and Uncle Dave on several occasions; memories we will never forget. Aunt Ann treated me like her own and always made us feel so welcomed. She always had good things to say about everyone and always had such an upbeat attitude. Mommy, I want to thank you for all the love and care you have given me. You are such an amazing mother. A mother that would do anything on this earth to give her children what they desire. You are so great and wonderful. Your children were your world, and you loved us so greatly. I love you so much and will miss you dearly. It is going to be very hard going through life without you, but I know you will always be with me in my heart. It makes me so sad to think that one day you will not be able to take part in my future events. Your love and nurture will be carried on through me the day I become a mother. You have taught me that motherhood will be a wonderful accomplishment, and your love for your child is so immense. Down the road, I will be sure to show all the love and nurture to my children as you did with me, for that is the greatest feeling in the world. Holding me in your arms is an indescribable feeling that I will never forget. That feeling of comfort and protection showed me that everything will be ok. Unfortunately I do not have you right now to show me everything will be alright, but it will be realized as time passes. I love you so much and will always have you in my heart. I know you will be watching over me so proudly as I go through life, and knowing this will make me so happy. Even as I get older Mommy, remember, as I quote your words, no matter how old I get I will always be your “baby”. I love you and miss you so much.

Dearest Ann,
What can I say. You are the sweetest, most amazing person I have ever known. From day one, you have made me feel like I am part of the family. I always felt right at home when I was in your house.
You raised Annie, Elias, and Toni right and I promise to take good care of Toni. I met Shannon, Melissa, and Madison today. It was so cute. When Madison saw you she said," Nana sleeping."
I will do my best to be a great husband to Toni on day and we will give you a couple of wonderful grandchildren. Toni and I will tell them great stories about you.
I just wanted to tell you how much we will all miss you and think of all the great times we had like in Atlantic city and at the baseball games. We all love you lots. I promise you again, I will take good care of Toni and I know you will be watching over us. Love, Nick

Ann and I usually sat next to each other during our Alternate Route classes at Morristown High School, and she was always such a pleasant sight, kind soul. I never met her husband, but she spoke so lovingly of him, that I presume he must be wonderful! Words can never begin to express how much I miss you now and always will. You are my Mommy and I am “your boy.” Since the first day I was born you showered me with love and affection and showed me what it feels like to be loved unconditionally. I will always remember lying with my head on your lap and you caressing my hair as the rest of the world seemed to fade away. Even when we were miles apart I always felt your soft and gentle touch and I always will. You would always tell me how proud you were of me and unfortunately I never had the chance to fully express to you how proud I am of you. You are the most amazing, caring, tender, nurturing, beautiful, and intelligent woman I will ever have the privilege of knowing. I am so proud of your accomplishments in college, during your Master’s, and in the classroom as a teacher, and I will always admire your dedication to your family, friends, and students. I have been blessed for the past twenty eight years of my life and I am inexpressibly thankful to have had you as my Mommy. I love you more than humanly words can ever justify and I am certain that I will always feel your gentle touch upon my head as I experience those moments in my life you so desperately wanted to be a part of. Mommy I love you so much and I will miss you deeply as I continue my journey in life. I will always tell my future children how wonderful and special their Grandma was, how deeply she loves them, and how she is with them always. I will always be your boy and you will always be my Mommy. Thank you for everything you have shown and given me.
Love Forever,

You are and always will be my beautiful loving Mother. How can I begin to express in words how wonderful you are as Mother and Friend. So full of love for every living thing and especially your "babies". You told me that becoming a mother was the best thing that had ever happened to you and you are so proud of all of your children. I feel so blessed to be your daughter and I hope you know how proud I am of you. I hope you know how thankful I am for you and how much I love you. God Blessed me with an Angel for a Mother and I am grateful that he chose you for me.
You were so proud the day you became Grandma. Blake loves his "ah ma" so much. In his 2 1/2 years you have given him enough love to last a lifetime. I am thankful for all those special moments that you have shared with Blake. I will make sure that he never forgets you and that he will always know how precious he is to you. I know you will always be with him in spirit and will watch him grow through the years. Don't worry Mommy, Blake will always be "ah ma's boy".
You have given me enough love to last a lifetime and I still feel your love at this very moment. I will never be able to say "goodbye" but will say "see you later". I love you Mommy. Thank you for everything.

We loved Ann for her thoughtful comments, her quick sense of humor, her dedication to her chosen vocation, her true love of children and her constant ability to always see the best in everyone. Dear Family of Mrs. Anna Lees
First I would like to offer my condolences to each and every one. I am the parent of Kyle McFarlane who was in Mrs. Lees class this past year. My son Kyle simply LOVED Mrs. Lees. At the end of the school year Kyle was so excited because Mrs. Lees had given him her things from the classroom. He was most proud of the map that she gave him because he can look for himself where places are. He loved to bring "Snuggles" the guinea pig home on long weekends when the school was going to be closed. She would also talk about her daughters rabbit and all of her pet friends. On the class picnic in June I had the pleasure of speaking with Mrs. Lees and she let me know that she would not be returning for the September school year and how she was going to continue her studies for her Master's, I told her that I wished that she would be able to return and how the kids would really miss her. We continued to talk small talk until the children came over and they started braiding her hair, twisting it, and just having a good time with her hair. She never complained she just sat there and had a delightful time just enjoying the day. She loved her school children SO much. I thank God for allowing us to have her for the time that we did. I thank her for the valueable lessons that she taught to my child and others. I thank her for accepting each and every child with a open heart and a beautiful smile. I thank her for being a great example to our children teaching them to love and respect animals. I just thank God for allowing Mrs. Lees to pass through MY life. I hope that you all continue to be blessed beyond measures. To Mr. Lees you had a magnificent wife, to the extended family, please remember the good times, and know that Mrs. Lees touched so many lives and with every lesson learned our children will have a piece of her for a lifetime.
Thank you MRS. LEES! you deserve a standing ovation.
Respectfully.
