Edward W. Miller passed away on July 5, 2005 after a short illness.
He was 83 years old.
Born in Bellmore, L.I., NY, he went into the U.S. Marines after high school and served in the Pacific Theater during WWII.
After the service he was married to his beloved wife Agnes (Helf) Miller in 1945.
He then moved to Denville in 1950, where he helped build the American Legion Post #390 building. He was also a life member and treasurer for 8 years at the Legion. Raymond was a member of the Retail Wholesale and Department Store Union Local #313 in Denville, and his hobbies were fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He had attended the Denville United Methodist Church.
His wife Agnes of Denville survives him. His children Richard of Hackettstown, Donald of Mine Hill, NJ and Raymond of Pottstown, PA, Diane Myers of Lehighton, PA, Debra Garris of Rockaway, NJ, and Barbara Turdiev of Denville, NJ also survive him. His 8 grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren and sister Marilyn Held of Wantaugh, L.I., NY also survive him.
There will be a memorial service at the Denville United Methodist Church a later date.
