Ross C. Mangina passed away at his home in Parsippany on May 20, 2005. He was 83 years old. Born in Alabama, he had lived in West Orange, then moved to Whippany in 1968, and has been in Parsippany for the last 13 years. He served in the US Marines and fought in both WWII, and Korea, and was decorated with 2 purple hearts and a bronze star. Ross worked as a salesman his entire life and was last employed by Eisler & Company in West Orange before retiring in 1986. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #5351 in Whippany. Ross was devoted to his family who meant everything to him, and he will be missed. He is pre deceased by his wife of 53 years, Betty L. (Belbey) Mangina who passed away in 2001. His children Ross (& Sue) Mangina of Parsippany, John of Canon City, CO, Tony (& Adrian Pratt) of Burlington, VT and Kathleen (& Mark) Thompson of Parsippany also survive him. His 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren also survive him as well as his brother Ben of South Jersey, and Pete of West Orange, and his sister Francis of IL. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 25, at 1PM at Grace Episcopal Church in Madison, NJ.
