Jean Simpson
89, Loving Wife and Mother
Mine Hill Jean Simpson died Tuesday, May 17, 2005, in Compassionate Care Hospice at Saint Clares Hospital, Dover, NJ. She was 89.
Born February 5, 1916 in Glasgow, Scotland, she had lived in Belleville, Clifton and Parsippany before moving to Mine Hill 31 years ago. She was a member of The Independent Order of Foresters (Scottish Clans).
Mrs. Simpson was a homemaker who loved to cook and bake. She was known for her delicious Scottish breads. Her sweet, kind, loving, generous nature will be treasured always by those whose lives she touched. She always put family first and enjoyed summer vacations in Ocean Grove, NJ with her family. She also loved going to flea markets, craft shows and shopping with her daughter June.
She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 61 years, John, her devoted daughter, June Ernstrom and her husband Errol of Denville. Also her second family, Marge Turiansky and Christine Smith will miss Aunt Jean. We have such wonderful memories of our times together and you will always remain in our hearts.
Her beautiful blue eyes, sweet smile, inner strength, big heart and gentle soul will never be forgotten. God blessed me once when he chose you as my Mom. God blessed me twice when he made you my best friend. May you find peace now in Gods loving hands.
