Reginald Joseph Blaber Jr. Born in Brooklyn, NY Reg Blaber, 76, died at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, NJ on Thursday May 5th surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Reginald and Josephine Blaber. He was a proud and active graduate of Brooklyn Prep and St. Peters College. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War and achieved the rank of Sergeant First Class. Reg worked for the Columbus Coated Fabrics of Columbus, Ohio as a successful salesman for 30 years. He won numerous awards for his success and professionalism before retiring in 1995. Reg was active in the Brooklyn Prep Alumni Association, the Cedar Lake Community Club and a board member for the Cedar Lake Property Owners Association for decades. He loved his Cedar Lake Community. He was a parishioner at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Rockaway Borough, and was a member of St. Cecelias Senior Club. He married Kathleen Ann Cooney in 1952, and was happily married until her death in 1987. They raised three children Kathleen Phelan, Reginald J. Blaber III, Brian Blaber on Cedar Lake in Denville. He married Joanne McCormick in 1993 and moved to Rockaway. His three children and eight grandchildren, as well as Joannes children, Michael, Patrick, and Erin, and seven grandchildren who adopted him as their own, survive Mr. Blaber. Reg was extremely loyal and devoted to his family and friends. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, compassion, and generosity. The funeral will be conducted from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Monday May 9th at 10:00a.m. For an 11:30a.m. Liturgy of Christian Burial service at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Rockaway Borough, NJ. Interment service at Denville Cemetery. Friends and relatives will be received Saturday May 7th 7-9p.m. and Sunday May 8th 2-4 & 7-9p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to Brooklyn Prep Alumni Association, Loyola Faber Hall, Fordham University, Bronx, NY 10458 5198 C/O Rev.
