Edward James Donegan, 79, died on Wednesday April 27, 2005 at his home in Denville, NJ.
He was born in New York City and lived in the Bronx, NY before moving to Denville 32 years ago.
He was a radioman in the Navy during WWII.
After the war he was a Custom Inspector for the U. S. Custom Service retiring in 1980 from Hoboken Office after 35 years.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Rosemary nee MacDonald. His six children Carol McKeon of Effort, Pa., Paul of Watertown, Tenn., Margaret Mary Taormina, and Peter both of Denville, Edward of Ellicott City, Md, and John of Denville. He has twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren and two surviving sisters Theresa Hug and Margaret Carr both of New Bern, NC.
A son Thomas Donegan from Paramus died in 1998.
Funeral from the Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave. Denville www.normandean.com on Monday May 2, 2005 at 9:00 AM for a 10:00 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial Service at St. Marys R. C. Church in Denville, NJ. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday Evening from 7-9 PM and on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
