Obituary of John Stein

John (Hans) Stein, beloved father and grandfather succumbed on August 14, 2008, after a lengthy illness. He was 85 years old.
He was born in Towarisch, Batschka, Yugoslavia, on May 30, 1923 to Johann and Theresia Stein. Arriving in the United States in 1955 as a displaced refugee from Eastern Europe, he lived in Denville for 53 years. For 34 of those years, Mr. Stein was the manager of the St. Francis Farm and Gardens.
He is predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Katherina Stein.
Mr. Stein is survived by his two sons, Harry and John (Eve), eight grandchildren, Geneva, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Adam, Catherine, Victoria, David, and Anna, sister-in-law Anna Ruempelein, and his brother Martin and sister Mariane, who reside in Salzburg, Austria.
Funeral from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Friday August 22, at 9AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at St. Francis Chapel in Denville. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8PM.
