Mildred Regina Bedell August 8, 1923 March 25, 2005 She was the Epitome of the Greatest Generation. Mildred was born in Lincoln Park, NJ to Christopher and Cecelia Kenny at the onset of the roaring twenties. She is survived by her beloved apricot poodle Tiffany, her sister Mary Lou Little, her brother Peter Kenny and his wife Virginia and her daughters Susan Marie, and Nancy Bedell. She is also survived by her son James Edward Bedell and his wife Francesca and their children John-Connor and Maria, and her son John Thomas Bedell and his wife Donna and their children John Alex, Jessica and James. When America went to war against the original Evil Empires, Mildred left her career as a New York model and went with her sister Betty to Washington DC. The Kenny sisters enlisted in the Army Signal Corp. and spent the duration of WWII encoding messages for commanders on the line. Miss Kennys handsome pre-war sweetheart was badly wounded during the Battle of the Buldge by machine-gun fire to the face. That didnt stop Mildred from looking him up in Walter Reed Medical Center and convincing him that he was still the man she planned to marry. Captain John A. Bedell, A.U.S. never stood a chance! She will be buried with her hero on April 12 at 2:00PM at Arlington National Cemetery. Her life spanned the introduction of many of the great inventions of the twentieth century and the dawning of the third millennium. He was an eyewitness to the madness of mankind through WWII, the Korean and Vietnam wars, 9/11 and the ongoing Iraq War and the brilliance of humanity through space exploration, and her own travels with her family around the world.
