Obituary of Alfred G Johnson

Alfred G. Johnson passed away at St. Clares Hospital in Denville on February 13, 2005. He was 92 years old. He was born and raised in Rockaway, NJ where he lived for most of his life. He served in the US Army during WWII from 41 to 46 and achieved the rank of Captain. He had worked at Air Craft Radio in Boonton Twp., NJ before starting his own carpet cleaning business, Duraclean Home Services in Rockaway in 1963. He had retired in 1988, turning the business over to his son. He was a trustee, an Elder and a Deacon at the First Presbyterian Church of Rockaway, where he last served as Elder at the age of 90. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Monna (Nee Brane) Johnson of Rockaway. His children Dale, of Wharton, and Elizabeth Rizzi of Rockaway, also survive him. His Grandchildren Kimberly, Michelle, Andrew and Stephanie, and his Great Grandchildren Colin, Breann, Kyle and Kaitlyn also survive him.
