Beloved Father & Grandfather
Victor Mickey Casale, 97, died Thursday Jan. 20, 2005 at Morris Hills Center, Morristown, NJ.
He was born and a lifelong resident of Newark, NJ, he was a graduate of St. Lucys School, Newark, NJ. He became a solo dancer in the middle 1920s and teamed up with a partner for dance contest, who later was known as Ginger Rogers. In 1928, he teamed with Tony Cook and he was known as Mickey Martin they were known as the Poppy Twins then 1931, were the Charleston Champs and won many awards. He was vice president of the United Electric Local #433 Union while employed by Tung Sol Electric Co in Bloomfield, NJ and became president of the Union just before his retirement in 1973.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 57 years Marilyn Pakonis who died in 1988. He is survived by two daughters Rose Ann Wilderotter of Cranford, NJ and Carol and son- in law Nick Rosania of Denville, NJ, his cherished six grandchildren Michael and Mark Wilderotter, Lisa Curran, Nicholas and Anthony Rosania, and Cara Skrzat, 13 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, a predeceased great granddaughter and two predeceased sisters, Rose Caruso and Albina Martino, and predeceased brother Thomas Casale.
The funeral from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Tuesday Jan. 25th at 8:30a.m. For a 9:30a.m. At St. Marys Church Denville, NJ. Interment at Gate of Cemetery East Hanover, NJ. Relatives and friends will be received on Monday Jan. 24th from 2-4 & 7-9p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to E & G Rainbow Foundation, 14 Beech Place, Denville, NJ 07834 would be appreciated.
