Danny Lee Smith, 47, died on Tuesday Jan. 18, 2005 at Saint Clares Hospital in Denville, NJ.
Mr. Smith was born in Lancaster, TX and raised in Dallas, Tx lived the last 5 years in Rockaway Twp., NJ. He was employed by Bannex Corp., Tampa, FL, as a computer technician for many years. He loved to fish, go to the beach and was an avid Dallas Cowboy football fan. He was avolunteer in the Special Olympics Thunderbirds Special Sports with his wife.
He is survived by his wife of 4 years, Susan Balduini Smith, his daughter Ashleigh Whitt of Sebring, FL, three grandchildren, Macy, Colby and Breanna, his mother Retha L. Smith of Austin, TX, his siblings, Karen M. Hildebrand of the Colony, Tx., and David R. Smith of Austin, Tx and also survived by nieces and nephews. His best friend and pal Chocolate Chip, a certified therapy dog survives him.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday Jan. 22, at 9:30 a.m. at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ 07834. Interment Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover, NJ. Friends will be received on Friday Jan. 21, from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday Jan. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Special Olympics Thunderbirds Special Sports, 32 Sioux Ave., Rockaway, NJ 07866 would be appreciated.
