When we were growing up, Stephanie would often refer to her dad as "a big teddy bear". Although his presence could be intimidating, I found her description to be truth. I remember Mr. Giessler as a kind, gentle person who genuinely cared about the people and the world around him. I have found myself recalling in the last few days, all of the fun summer barbeques by the pool at the Giessler's house, Mr Giessler grilling in his swim suit.
Please know that although I am far away, I am thinking of you all and I am so very sorry for your loss.
