Obituary of George Joseph Abline

George Joseph Abline passed away at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ on July 24, 2008.

He was 79 years old.

Born and raised in Newark, he had lived in Irvington before moving to Denville, NJ in 1966.

He served in the Military Police in the occupation of Tokyo for the U.S. Army during WWII, and then went into the National Guard for 16 years.

George worked as a bus driver for Public Service Transportation in Newark, and as a School bus driver for Denville Twp. for many years.

He was a member of the Denville American Legion Post #390, the Denville V.F.W. Post #2519, the NJ A.G. Association, and the Enlisted Association of the United States.

George is predeceased by his Granddaughter Sabrina Renee Fusco who passed away in 1991.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary L. (Scheetz) Abline of Denville, NJ. His children Michael (Corinne) Abline of Tannersville, PA, Maureen (Ray) Fusco of Denville, and Dennis (Shelley) Abline of Hong Kong also survive him. His Grandchildren Matthew, Danielle, Alicia, Justin, Jennifer, Tina, Naomi, Janaya, and Micah, and his siblings Fred of Parsippany, James of Denville, Ronald of East Brunswick, John of Manchester, Thomas of North Arlington, and Patricia McManus of Barnegat, NJ and his faithful companion Pete, also survive him.

Funeral at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville, NJ www.normandean.com, on Monday July 28, at 11:30AM. Friends may visit on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9PM.
