Johannah M. (Beston) Williamson of Denville

Johannah M. Williamson of Denville died Sunday Jan.9th, at Troy Hills Center- Nursing Home after an extended illness. Ann she was known by many was 84.
She was born and lived in Morristown during her early years, graduating from Morristown High School in 1938. Soon after she went to work at Picatinny Arsenal where she was a Rosie the Riveter during WWII. She later supervisor a Stenographer Pool and eventually worked in the Personnel office. She retired in 1976 after 34 years serving those years she lived in Dover before moving to Denville in 1971.
Known as Aunt Dolly to many friends and relatives, she was an avid golfer, who along with her late husband Spencer, was very involved in the early years of Peace Pipe Golf Club in Denville, where she was a former Womens Club Champion. Ann was active in the Denville Senior Citizens where she did her best to spread good cheer. She was very involved in her Irish heritage and enjoyed very much her 3 trips to Ireland.
Her husband Spencer Williamson and her stepdaughter Judi Tutty predecease Mrs. Williamson. Her son Dennis Williamson and his wife Angela of Boonton Twp, her stepdaughter Beverly Sweeney and her husband Robert of Lake Forest survive her. She is the grandmother of Robin Glickel, Susan Fortino, Robert Sweeney, William Gustin, Tamara Cobb, Tonya Gustin, Robert Tutty, Spencer and Alexandra Williamson. She is the great grandmother of four.
Funeral from The Norman Dean Home for Service 16 Righter Ave., Denville, NJ www.normandean.com on Friday Jan. 14th at 9:00a.m. For a 10:00a.m.Liturgy of Christian Burial service at St. Marys Church, interment Holy Rood Cemetery, Morristown. Friends will be received Thursday Jan. 13th from 2-4 & 7-9p.m.
