Dear Ron:
You are in my heart, prayers and mind. I know how much you loved CeCe - it was ALWAYS evident on your face when you would look at her!
Another saint has returned home and you will have loving memories. You may not be able to touch them but they will always be cradled in your heart.
Love makes one believe in immortality for how can such a vast emotion be confined to the span of a few short years of life? (RLS)
Here is a quote from Antoine de Saint-Exupery: "I thought of our respect for the dead ... of the white sanatorium where the light of a man's life goes quietly out in the presence of those who love him and who garner -- as it were an inestimable treasure -- his last words, his ultimate smile. How right they are! Seeing that this same whole is never again to take shape in the world. Never again will be heard exactly that note of laughter, that intonation of voice, that quality of repartee. Each individual is a miracle. No wonder we go on speaking of the dead for 20 years."
Again, my love and prayers.

Cece was one of the very first people that I met in the Snoopy circle. After e-mailing a while, we finally met at an ECC swap in the late 90's. Right away I thought, "wow, what a wonderful person this is"! It was great seeing you again last year at ECC. You touched my heart and brightened my day when you walked into my room that day. My daughter was with me and though she never met Cece, she remarked what a nice lady she was. I will miss you and know that you will always be in my prayers.

My greatest memories of Cece are Christmas Eve ... the Rutkowskis spent every Christmas Eve with us. Whenever I see Snoopy I think of her, and when I was really little she used to drive a Charger and I thought that car was the coolest thing ever. I remember riding down the road and Jimmy and I would get up under the back window (seat belts weren't needed back then)and have so much fun. My deepest sypmathy to you all - she will be missed.

Tuesday, July 22, 2008
I met CeCe soon after her husband died and because of her love of Snoopy and mine of Linus. Through emails we became friends that had never met. I "knew" her as strong and friendly and very proud of her family. Soon I got to meet her in person at a Snoopy Swap, and my expectations of my new friend proved true. Smiling and happy and so pleasing to be around. By the time the next Swap rolled around, we knew she had a new "old" friend in her life and we came to know them as a couple, Ron and CeCe. We loved watching them together and hearing about both their families.
Their time together was much too short, but such a blessing for Cece.
My condolences to Ron, both families, and all the friends that loved CeCe.

Cece, I will never forget the cheerful and hysterical razzing's you would give Ron and I when we would be fixing his PC. You would talk about how your MAC was working fine and how it always did. We would try to do something and you would point out how easy it was on your MAC or how it worked on your MAC. I will also cheris the times talking about the car guys on the radio. Love always Richard and Valerie Foster

CeCe (or actually Mrs. R to me) was a generous loving person and will be missed. Today driving home from work I was thinking of her and one of my early memories of her was her as Cub Scout Den Mother for Jim and I and our entire Cub Scout Pack when we were kids. We met in her dining room where she always fed and took great care of us all. Many other memories, that was just the one that came to mind. Our thoughts and prayers are with her and Jim at this time, as well as all of her loving friends and family.

Long live that wonderful smile. When I think of CeCe.. I think of one of the first Snoopy pen pals that I made when I found out that there were other people out there like me. At the time we were both on Aol and chatted many a night about Snoopy, her family, her loving grandchildren and life in general... I was at many Snoopy collectors events with CeCe and then I got the priviledge of meeting Ron... A Snoopy collector by injection... Ron.... you are being thought of as well as CeCe's family....
I will cherish the many meetings that I have had with Cece and that Wonderful Wonderful smile of hers.

I first met CeCe at an East Coast Convention for collectors of Snoopy and other Peanuts characters. We hit it off right away because CeCe was one of those people who was instantly likeable. When I got to know Ron it was obvious that they truly cared for each other. They attended last year's convention and CeCe had so much determination to beat the cancer. Ron, I send you my love and will keep CeCe, you, and her family in my prayers.
