What fond memories I have of Mr. Holmes, coaching baseball with my Dad, Robert, who died January 4th 2005.
Thank you 'Mike' for the time and heart that you put into ' shaping up 'guys like me and my brother Peter. You knew how important it was to be a good role-model for young and impressionable minds, and I've personally taken hold of those characteristics and attribtutes and molded them into my life's work as a teacher and coach.
Thank you Mr.Holmes. Say hi to my Dad for me, and take the time to watch a couple of games with him-please. He won't tell you, but he missed the 'old days' a lot.
