Dear Friends of Arne:
Maria and I had the pleasure of meeting Arne through our My Community Care Team outreach efforts.
Someone gave Arne our group contact and we went to meet Arne and spend some time with him at the hospital.
Arne kept in touch with us. He sent email jokes as well as suggestions on how to make MCCT more effective.
I met with Arne and some government representatives and local organizations to assist Arne in his quest to leave the hospital and return to a home in the community.
Government moves much too slowly and Arne never returned to a local community.
Today he is part of the larger community of those who have found freedom in the afterlife.
Arne's efforts on this earth and in heaven will lead to more options on this earth for people who need support to live at home.
My daughter Maria is one such person. We were fortunate to meet Arne. His positive attitude, his intelligence, kindness, and genuine love will live on in us.
