NANCY posted a condolence

Over 20years ago my Dad passed away. He was one of the best people to have ever walked this Earth. And I thought "no one can ever fill his shoes!) Well, Iwas wrong! my brother Bill tepped forward, he stepped in - and he filled those shoes proudly. Our Mom needed him - and he was there for her, We all needed him and he was there for us.
Bill is my hero! He had a passion for life. He filled our lives with laughter, and the past few years as he went through every battle with his health he never complained.
He taught me all about strength and courage. Iknow I speak for the whole family when I say we will be forever grateful to his wife CVhris for always being by his side and helping him through!
On a lighter side--
Bill never asked for anything for himself - until this past Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is always an important holiday for our family - And like most years I was cooking for 14 or 16 people. I am not a great cook-but when I make something my family enjoys-it's the best feeling in the world. Well, Bill called me and said he was sorry, but he and Chris wouldn't be able to come for dinner-it was just too hard to get around-his legs were failing him then.
He wanted to know if he bought the onions (little white ones) would I make him his own creamed onions for Thanksgiving! and I thought "Thank God, Here is something I can do for my brother!!"
So - you know - every year - I will make those damn creamed onions on Thanksgiving And we will all give thanks that Billy was in our lives!!

Dear Chris
I wish I could give you a big hug-not that it would change anything. It's hard to imagine how much you must be hurting. You and Bill were always such a great pair I can't picture you without him(nor him without you)
There was a warmth between you and him that many people never know.
He had a way of looking on the bright side that was contagious-you couldn't be around him without feeling good. He had such an easy, gracious way about him and he made everyone feel they were special to him. I know he always made me feel that way.
This is and will be-so hard I hope all the years of love and happy memories will be a comfort to you. all my thoughts, prayers and love are with you. Love Nancy

I'M FREE ...
Don't grieve for me for now I'm free, I'm following the path God has laid you see. I took his hand when I heard him call, I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work, to play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found that peace at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss ... oh yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the SUNSHINE of tomorrow. My life's been full, I savored much ... Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up you hearts and peace to thee, God wanted me now, He set me free!

We will miss Sunny. His nick-name was his personality...and although he was a man of few words, he was always right in the midst of the action! I'm going to keep watching the sunsets, because I just know that one day soon, purple will be the predominant color of a VERY colorful one!

I'm saddened for Aunt Nonie, Chris, Donna, Nancy, and the McIntyre family today. Billy was a joy to know. He was always upbeat and ambitious and good people to many. As a kid, I was lucky to tagalong with Donna to the Harry Chapin concert or along for supper back in the day of the early 70s. Heaven gained one - Good People lost one today. I wonder if he'll be washing and waxing beautiful cars, trucks or vans up in heaven and listening to some great music. I hope our paths cross again.

I worked with Sunshine (Bill) and his wife Chris for many years. I remember him as a man who never lost his youthful playfulness, as so many of us do, as we grow older. The expression “ The difference between men and boys is the price of their toys” certainly applied to Sunny. He always had unique interests and was able to translate those into the acquisition of uniquely fun and novel playthings. Whenever I would visit Sunny and Chris at their home they always treated as a special guest, in place that reminded me of a playground for grown-ups. Sunny carried a wondrous inner child within him, which many of us wish we had never lost or could somehow recapture. As the light of Sunshine sets from us today, may he rise tomorrow in an eternal playground of fun, happiness and peace. -- Rich
