Robert A. Weir passed away at his home in Dover, NJ on November 16, 2004. He was 61 years old.
Born in New Brunswick, NJ he had lived for many years in Mt. Tabor before moving to Dover 15 years ago.
He had served in the US Air force for 12 years during the Vietnam War.
He was a fork Lift operator working in warehousing for most of his life, and most recently worked for C.D.S. Warehouse in Wharton, NJ.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Elizabeth Betty Smolko-Weir of Dover, his son Kevin (& Dana) Weir of Ridgefield Park, NJ, Step Daughter Elizabeth Krisanne (& Al) Verdi of Denville, NJ Step Son Stephen Moses of Randolph, and Granddaughter Autymn Elizabeth Verdi.
He was a member of the Mt. Tabor Fire Department District #1, The Morris Plains V.F.W., the Wharton American Legion Post #91. He was also an avid deep sea fisherman and a talented wood worker. He loved cross word puzzles and cared for many animals both indoor and out. He also had a great sense of humor and was a great practical joker.
Friends may visit at Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ on Friday from 2-4 & 7-8:30PM. There will be a service that will follow at 8:30PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Mt. Tabor Fire Department P.O. Box 73 Mt. Tabor, NJ 07878.
