Barrett, Tony Allison passed away at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover on October 23. He was 71 years old.
Born in Dunmore, PA he had lived in Lake Hiawatha before moving to Denville 50 years ago.
He had served in the Army during the Korean War.
He received a Bachelors degree from Seaton Hall University and a Masters Degree in Education from Jersey City State College in 1990.
As a math educator for more than 35 years in the Randolph school district, Tony touched thousands of young lives. In addition he was a dedicated member of the athletic department, serving as a couch, mentor, and equipment manager. His tireless efforts helped produce some of the greatest high school teams in New Jerseys state history.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Maureen (Prunier) Allison of Denville, His children Matthew of Wayne, Mary Jane, Mindy, and Mitchell all of Denville, and Melissa (& Rich) Young of Robbinsville, NJ. His grandchildren Christopher, Lauren, Cara, Luke, Elizabeth & Noah also survive him as well as his Brother Paul of Boonton, and Sisters Barbara of Morristown and Nancy Graney of Denville.
Services from Norman Dean Home for Services 16 Righter Ave Denville, NJ on Tuesday at 9AM for a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Marys Church in Denville at 10AM.
