Obituary of Gertrude E. Pisarcik

Gertrude E. Pisarcik (nee Frayler) passed away at the Morris View Nursing Home in Morris Twp. on July 31, 2004. She was 82 years old. Born in Newark, she had lived in Boonton, NJ for 53 years and Lake Hiawatha for 20 years. She was the daughter of Louis M. Frayler, former mayor of Parsippany-Troy Hills Township (from 1956 until his death in 1960) and Emily (Pfrost) Frayler-Trautwein, who died in 1996. She was Honorably discharged from the Womens Army Auxiliary Corps in 1943. Gert had a real estate and insurance license and worked in her husbands business, John G. Pisarcik Real Estate & Insurance, during the 25 years of their marriage. She then went to work as a clerk for Wm. J. Scerbo & Sons, and a bookkeeper for: Chnapko & Sons: Greco Lincoln Mercury: and St. Clares Hospital. Without a college degree, she went to work for BASF Wyandotte Corporation, in their payroll department, and because of her tremendous work ethic she propelled herself upward in the corporation to Payroll Supervisor until her retirement in 1984. She was a former Past President and Historian of the American Legion Post 249 Ladies Auxiliary, Lake Hiawatha, NJ and former Member of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Rosary Society. Gert also worked tirelessly for Ss. Cyril & Methodius Church and School and Morris Catholic High School. Her brother, Arthur Frayler, a former Detective with Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Department. Died in 1988. Survivors include her loving son, John G. Jr PhD, her loving daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and John Crans, her cherished granddaughters, Cyndi Anne, and Tracy Lynn Crans Paulozzo, and her husband, Frank and her great grandson, Alexander Thomas Paulozzo. She is also survived by her sister Mae Geraldine (Jerry) Connor, and her sisters-in-law, Margaret frailer, Mary )Blois) Pisarcik, and Mary (Pisarcik) Wickham and her husband, Albert, and several cherished nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name for either the Boonton Fire Department Christmas Parade (BFS Xmas PARADE), 100 Washington Street, Boonton, NJ 07005 (Which her daughter co-chairs so children always have something special), or Boonton Kiwanis Ambulance, P.O. Box 16, Boonton, NJ 07005 (Which has helped our family many times in the past.)
