Salvina di Palma, age 96 of Denville for more than 58 years, died Wednesday in the Franciscan Oaks Life Care Center, Denville where she had been for 7 years. Mrs. di Palma was born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Onofrio and the late Maria Louise Miceli. She was a homemaker and an active member of St. Clares Hospital Womens Auxiliary in Denville. Salvina was also a charter member of Franciscan Oaks founding committee. Her former home on the historical site of Ford & Kitchel Roads was a family gathering place for holidays and special occasions. She is survived by one daughter: Marianne Jacobs of Bethesda, MD and two sons: Peter F of Hackettstown, and Michael C di Palma of Lake George, NY. Salvina is survived by grandsons, Nicholas of Chevy Chase, MD, James of Crystal Lake, IL and Paul Jacobs of Indianola, WA; granddaughter, Barbara Dinkins of Powell, TN; grandsons, P J of Chalfont, PA and Steven di Palma of Rockaway Township, NJ; granddaughters, Susan Drake of Boulder, CO, Juli Ann Rush of Delran, NJ and Andrea di Palma of Rockaway Township, NJ; grandson, John di Palma of Boston, MA; granddaughters, Lisa of Rockaway Township, NJ and Lisa di Palma of Verona, NJ; granddaughter, Corine Monte of Seattle, WA; and grandson, Jason di Palma of Verona, NJ. Also survived by great granddaughters Olivia, Kelly, Annie and Josephine Jacobs; Jamie Dinkins, Rachel Drake, Arianna di Palma and Genievieve Monte and great grandsons Thomas, Nicholas, Alex and Braydon Jacobs; David Morgan; Timothy and Zachary Dinkins; William and Jonathan Drake; Nicholas, Peter, Anthony, Andrew and Brian di Palma, and Joseph Rush. Predeceased by her husband, Dr. Salvatore di Palma (1962) who was a professor in the department of obstetrics and gynecology at NYU College of Medicine and director and visiting surgeon at NY City Cancer Institute, both in New York, NY; and sons Anthony (1955) and John V (1991) di Palma. Liturgy of Christian Burial service at St. Mary's RC Church, Denville, Monday at 10:00 am. Burial will be Monday at 12:45 pm in the Gate Of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ.
