Gladys M. Carney (Nee Mayland) passed away at her residence in Panther Valley on July 27, 2004. She was 72 years old.
Born in Fords, NJ she had lived for many years in Denville before moving to Panther Valley 18 years ago.
She was a business owner, operating laundramats in Lake Hiawatha and Washington Twp., NJ, but she was best known for her accomplishments as a portrait artist. She belonged to the Panther Valley Art Group as well as the Pocono Mountains Art Group.
She is survived by her husband Thomas Roy Carney, her sons Kevin of VT, and Thomas S. of Rockaway. Her Grandchildren Keiran, Chrissy, Skye, and River. She is also survived by her sisters Grace Mazur of FL and Elenore Maconi of NC.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 31 at 1:00PM at the funeral home
