Betty Mae Ackerman, 76, died on Saturday July 24th at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, NJ.
Mrs. Ackerman was born in Boonton Township, NJ and lived most of her life in Denville, NJ. Mrs. Ackerman was employed as a clerical worker at the Boonton Hand Bag Co., Boonton, NJ and the Crum and Foster Insurance Co, Basking Ridge, NJ for many years; she was also a Proof Reader for Redmond Press, Denville, NJ. She has been retired for the last 8 years; her most enjoyable time was taking care of children and sewing. Mrs. Ackerman was a member of the Rockaway Valley United Methodist Church, Boonton Township, NJ.
Her husband the late Lawrence predeceases Mrs. Ackerman. Her son Dennis Ackerman survives her and his wife Susan, her granddaughters Katelyn and Erin Ackerman, and a brother Homer Stickle of Florida survive her.
A Memorial service at the Rockaway Valley United Methodist Church 38 Valley Rd., Boonton Twp., on Saturday August 7, 2004 at 11:00a.m..In lieu of flowers donations to American Heart Association would be appreciated.
