Josephine A. Weis, 93, died on Sunday June 8, 2008 at Merry Heart Nursing Home in Boonton Twp., NJ. She was born in Manhattan, and later lived in Cambria Heights, Queens, for 56 years moving to Denville, NJ to live with her daughter and son in-law, Josephine and the late Richard Byrne. Josephine had been a long time member of Sacred Heart Parish in Cambria Heights, where she had also been a member of the Rosarian Society and other volunteer work. She was an avid history buff, who enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. She loved to garden and she especially loved her roses. She was known for her quick wit and one-liners. Josephine is predeceased by her husband Anthony, her brothers Paul, Robert and Alfred Vogel, and by her daughter Adele Daddea. She is survived by her daughters Mary Hoage and her husband Ron, of Hauppaug, NY, Josephine Byrne of Denville, and her son in-law Louis Daddea also of Denville. She has 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 6 nephews and 2 nieces.
