Arlene Mary McNichol (nee Coyle), 69, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 2nd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 6th at 10 am at St. Mary’s Church, Denville. Interment to follow at Denville Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to visit on Tuesday, March 5th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Ave, Denville. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Sisters of Christian Charity, 350 Bernardsville Road, Mendham, NJ 07945. To send a message of condolence, please go to www.normandean.com Born in Perth Amboy, to the late Luke and Julia Coyle, Arlene was one of six children. After High School, she met and later married John McNichol and the couple settled in Denville where they would raise their family. Arlene was an exceptional homemaker and devoted much of her time to her children’s activities. She could also be found donating time to her community and the Sisters of Christian Charity of Morris Catholic. She enjoyed cooking, baking Irish soda bread and cookies at Christmas, spending time at her shore house and spending the day at the casino, but above all, she loved spending time with her family. Surviving are her loving husband John of 49 years, her children John Jr. and his wife Beth, Elizabeth McNichol, and Patrick and his wife Sheryl; her adoring granddaughters Casey and Taylor; her sister Judith Fadden; her brothers Luke, Patrick, Dennis, and Kenneth; and many other loving relatives and friends.
