Solveig Abrahamsen, died peacefully onThursday, June 5, 2008 surrounded by her family, at the Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover,She was 83.
Born on September 13, 1924 in the town of Lista, Norway, she immigrated to the US in 1946 settling in Bayridge Brooklyn, where she married her husbandOdd on December 17, 1949. In 1965 Solveig and family moved to Lake Telemark in Rockaway Township and has resided there ever since.
Solveig was a Homemaker. Shewas a devoted mother andwife and dedicated her life to her family.
Surviving is her four sons Alf, Roy, Carl and Alex; Grandchildren Tricia, Lauren, Christopher, Kevin, Melissa, Brynn and Carl Jr. Her great-grandchildren Jacob, Alexis, Pattiann and Taliah. Also surviving are her sisters Borgnay Christiansen, Kari Tonnesen, Asta Kolnes and her brother Arthur Abrahamsen all residing inLista, Norway.
A funeral service will be held on MondayJune 9at 10:00AM at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 508 Greenpond Road Rockaway Twp. Visitation will be held on Sunday June 8, from 1-5PM at the Norman Dean Home For Services 16 Righter Avenue Denville NJ 07834.
