Obituary of Eileen G. Bray

Eileen Schlayer Bray of Denville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover, NJ. She was 82.
Born in New York City in 1925, Eileen spent much of her childhood on Prince Edward Island, Canada. She married the late William Dermott Bray in 1949, and moved to Ridgewood, NJ in 1975. The past eight years, she had enjoyed her friends and neighbors at Cooks Pond Senior Housing in Denville. She was a loyal member of St. Marys Church.
Her greatest joys in life were her two grandchildren, Brianna and Bryce Mott, of Denville. She enjoyed attending many school and church events, cooking holiday dinners, and the music of Englebert Humperdink.
Eileen leaves her daughter Kathleen Bray and son-in-law Frederick Mott. Other relatives include her brother, Robert Schlayer of Portsmouth, NH, sister-in-law Theresa McNamara of Dumont, NJ and their families. She was predeceased by her sister Zeta Schlayer McKenzie of California.
The Bray - Mott family will welcome visitors to the Norman Dean Funeral Home in Denville, on Sunday, June 1, from 2-5 p.m. (973) 627-1880.
Eileen Brays funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 2nd, 2008 at 10 a.m. at St. Marys Church in Denville. Interment will follow at the Valleau Cemetery in Ridgewood, NJ. Details available at www.NormanDean.com.
